Role Overview

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to drive growth and shape new opportunities across the Space marketspace. This highly visible role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of customer engagement, mission understanding, and business strategy.

What You Will Do

As a key member of our Space Sector growth team, you will collaborate closely with operational and functional leaders to expand Peraton’s footprint across Space customers. You will build deep understanding of customer missions, competitor landscapes, and market dynamics, develop strategic business cases, and lead customer engagement efforts.

The ideal candidate will have 16+ years of operations or business development experience supporting space organizations, experience in shaping opportunities by influencing federal and/or commercial stakeholders, and a proven track record of success in establishing and defending a pipeline.

Requirements

• 16+ years of operations or business development experience supporting space organizations
• Experience in shaping opportunities by influencing federal and/or commercial stakeholders
• Experience in being a forward-looking strategist, aligning technical capabilities with federal funding priorities and budget to drive long-term growth and portfolio expansion
• Successful and proven track record of success-establishing and defending a pipeline, funding and growing a portfolio
• Deep and current understanding of customer’s activities and needs to leverage Peraton strengths and core values
• High energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism, and commitment
• Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clients
• Bachelor’s degree
• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Benefits

• Target Salary Range: $176,000 – $282,000
• Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus
