FinOps Data Analyst

Role Overview

As a FinOps Data Analyst at SEEK, you will turn complex cloud, AI, and SaaS cost data into intelligence that engineering teams, Finance, and senior leaders can act on. This is a hands-on analytical role sitting at the intersection of data science, business intelligence, and cloud financial management.

What You Will Do

Collect, process, and model cloud, AI, and SaaS cost and usage data into trusted, query-ready datasets. Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations in QuickSight to give engineering teams, Finance, and senior leaders a single source of truth for cloud spending, cost trends, forecasts, optimisation opportunities, and financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, information technology, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills
• Proven experience building BI dashboards and visualizations
• Proficiency in Python (or R) for data analysis, statistical modelling, recurring reporting automation, and data collection scripting
• Hands-on experience with cloud cost management tools and data sources
• Practical experience with forecasting, trend analysis, and anomaly detection
• Rigour about data quality
• AWS, GCP, or FinOps certifications
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and version-controlled analytics workflows
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
