Market Director of Business Development – Inpatient Hospitals

Role Overview

The Market Director of Business Development will oversee admissions and business development for two inpatient hospitals and levels of care in the local area. Success in this role is achieved via consistently attaining market ADC and admissions budgets, refining and deploying business development best practices, and building and nurturing collaborative internal and external physician relationships.

The Market Director of Business Development will oversee admissions and business development for two inpatient hospitals and levels of care in the local area. Responsibilities include consistently attaining market ADC and admissions budgets, selecting, training, and mentoring a liaison and admissions team, and promoting positive brand recognition within the market.

Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree required (Masters’ preferred)
• Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Rehab Therapist (strongly preferred)
• Five or more years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing (inpatient services marketing in the local market is strongly preferred)
• Three or more years of team management experience
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
• Proven success in relationship development and training/mentoring of team members
• Ability to work effectively with direct reports and hospital leadership to achieve hospital budgets and positive patient outcomes
