Expert Data Engineer

We are looking for an Expert Data Engineer for our Data, AI & Analytics COE team. As an Expert Data Engineer, you will define and govern the architecture of data products and data pipelines, establish standards, and develop reference engineering practices. You will also act as a technical reference for complex decisions and maintain a holistic view of the technology stack. You will collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure that Data Engineering solutions respond to high-complexity technical and functional requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related areas
• Proven experience in Data Engineering
• Experience in defining and evolving modern data architectures, including Lakehouse and hybrid analytical platforms
• Experience in SQL, Python, and PySpark (or equivalent technologies)
• Solid knowledge and experience in distributed processing (e.g. Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive)
• Experience in cloud environments (e.g. Azure, GCP, or AWS)
• Experience in processing large volumes of data, in batch and/or streaming
• Strong knowledge of good engineering practices, including versioning (Git), automation, and CI/CD pipelines
• High analytical capacity, attention to detail, and structuring of complex information
• Strong sense of technical responsibility, critical thinking, and systemic vision
• Autonomy, proactivity, and orientation towards sustainable long-term technical solutions
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Product, Engineering, Data Platform, and Business)
• Continuous curiosity and willingness to evolve technologically and influence good practices
