SEO Manager

Role Overview

The SEO Manager will connect strategic search engine optimization with technical expertise, data-based decisions, and innovative AI approaches. The role involves taking over the strategic and budgetary responsibility for customer projects, increasing organic traffic, rankings, and conversions, and optimizing the visibility of brands in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.

What You Will Do

The SEO Manager will analyze KPIs such as qualified non-brand traffic, conversion rate, share of voice, and AI visibility with Google Search Console, Sistrix, and Peec AI. They will optimize websites technically and content-wise with tools like Screaming Frog and common CMS, improve crawl management, and implement structured data.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate has completed an education or a study in the field of media/marketing or a comparable qualification and brings solid professional experience in search engine optimization, ideally in an agency. They should be able to interpret SEO metrics, derive concrete action recommendations from data, and complex strategies in good German language skills.

Requirements

• Education or study in the field of media/marketing or a comparable qualification
• Solid professional experience in search engine optimization, ideally in an agency
• Knowledge of technical SEO, on-page and off-page optimization, keyword research, local SEO, and entity optimization
• Understanding of HTML and CSS, as well as the basics of large language models (LLMs) and generative AI search
• Experience with prompt engineering
• Interpretation of SEO metrics and derivation of concrete action recommendations from data
• Complex strategies in good German language skills
