Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Data Analyst will own the data management and analysis for Brightstar Hospitality, a hotel management company. The role will involve designing and maintaining the data architecture, building and maintaining self-service dashboards, and analyzing trading performance across the portfolio.

What You Will Do

The Data Analyst will be responsible for producing and developing management reporting, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis for hotel, central, executive, and board audiences. They will also analyze distribution and channel economics, including OTA cost of sale, and bring together commercial, operational, payroll, and guest-experience data to analyze profitability and productivity at property, department, and segment level.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have three to four years of practical experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence, with demonstrable ownership of end-to-end delivery. They will also have proven experience building and maintaining data ingestion and reporting processes across multiple source systems, including reconciliation and data-quality control.

Requirements

• Three to four years of practical experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence
• Proven experience building and maintaining data ingestion and reporting processes across multiple source systems
• Advanced Excel skills, including formula-driven modelling with centralized assumptions
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Experience with a modern visualization platform, ideally Power BI
• Genuine, practical experience applying AI tooling to real analytical or reporting work
• Strong commercial and financial literacy
• Ability to translate an ambiguous business question into a defined analytical task
• High attention to detail, sound judgement, and discretion with confidential and personal data
