Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to analyze large volumes of game and player data to identify patterns, trends, and dynamics, and turn them into clear business conclusions. The role involves collaborating closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to shape hypotheses, validate them with data, and contribute hands-on to data science development tasks.

What You Will Do

Analyze large volumes of game and player data, translate findings into practical recommendations for product improvements, perform deep-dive investigations into performance anomalies or game features, and communicate complex insights in a simple, compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, experience working with large datasets and distributed computing tools, and solid data visualization skills. The role offers a flexible schedule with remote mode, 25 working days of vacation, and a budget for education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, preferably in the gaming or tech industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; ability to find the story in the data: uncovering trends and explaining them in clear business terms.
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing tools (BigQuery, Spark, Hive, or similar).
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL for complex queries and data wrangling.
  • Solid data visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI) and advanced Python, with practical experience using common data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn).
  • Strong experience of experimental design and statistical testing (A/B testing, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals).
  • Working knowledge of machine learning fundamentals (supervised learning, feature engineering, training/validation, evaluation metrics) and familiarity with causal inference and uplift modeling.
  • Hands-on experience contributing to ML workflows or model development, with the ability to implement and test well-scoped tasks alongside Data Scientists.
  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants or other AI tools in day-to-day work, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and output quality.
  • English B2+

Benefits

  • Flexible schedule with remote mode.
  • 25 working days of vacation.
  • 15 sick leaves.
  • 1 paid day off for celebrating your birthday.
  • Paid Ukrainian National Holidays.
  • Medical insurance is provided after completing the probation period (3 months from the start date).
  • Budget for education.
  • Paid for individual English classes.
