Role Overview

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy for Chaminade Resort & Spa, a distinctive mountaintop resort surrounded by redwoods in Santa Cruz, California. This role will lead initiatives that increase brand awareness, drive hotel occupancy and revenue, strengthen The View restaurant and food & beverage business, promote spa and recreational offerings, and position Chaminade as a premier destination for leisure, group, wedding, and local experiences.

The Marketing Manager will oversee the property’s digital presence, social media, website content, online reputation, local partnerships, public relations opportunities, and on-property promotional initiatives. The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized, digitally savvy, hospitality-focused, and passionate about storytelling and creating memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Hospitality, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of hospitality, resort, tourism, lifestyle, or destination marketing experience
  • Experience managing social media platforms and developing content strategies for a hospitality or consumer-facing brand
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media trends, content marketing, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and online reputation management
  • Experience with website content management systems, Google Analytics/GA4, Google Ads, and digital marketing platforms
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other graphic design and content creation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing performance data and translate results into actionable recommendations
