Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager / IT Account Manager to drive growth across both commercial and public sector accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT solutions and services, coupled with proven experience in business development, account management, and stakeholder engagement. This role will focus on developing strategic client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering technology solutions that support clients’ digital transformation objectives.
Candidates with experience managing enterprise, commercial, or government accounts, as well as exposure to tender management and digital transformation projects, will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial and public sector accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and business leaders across various industries.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including technical, pre-sales, and delivery teams, to develop compelling IT solutions that address client business challenges.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, including lead generation, solution positioning, proposal development, tender submissions, contract negotiations, and account growth.
- Understand customer business objectives and translate requirements into strategic technology solutions and services.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, digital transformation initiatives, and procurement practices across commercial and public sectors.
- Track account performance, maintain sales pipelines, forecast revenue, and provide regular business updates to management.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and customer engagements to strengthen market presence and generate opportunities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT account management, business development, sales, or client relationship management.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing strategic accounts within commercial, enterprise, or public sector environments.
- Good understanding of IT solutions and services, including cloud solutions, software development, digital platforms, cybersecurity, data analytics, infrastructure, or system integration.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage both business and technical audiences effectively.
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise, commercial, government, or statutory board clients.
- Exposure to tender management, RFP/RFQ processes, and proposal development.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, modernization, or technology implementation projects.
- Established network within key industry sectors, public agencies, or enterprise organizations will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with procurement frameworks, governance requirements, and technology adoption initiatives in Singapore.
