About the job

Sales Development Representative, Grocery & Food CPG

Remote (US) | Full-time | 25-35% travel | W2 Salaried Position with Benefits | $55-65k

We are building the next generation of shopper rebate.

Kaylus connects brands directly with the people who buy their products, and rewards those shoppers for doing it. We are pre-launch, with a go-to-market launch inside the next year.

Grocery and food CPG is where we are building first. That means this is not a seat where you inherit a playbook, a target list, or a pitch that already works. You are going to help build all three.

What you would own

You are one of the first people carrying Kaylus to grocery and food brands. Practically, that means:

  • Building target brand lists and running outreach from first touch to booked meeting, and helping carry deals through to signed partnership
  • Bringing the first wave of grocery and food CPG partners onto the platform
  • Putting your read on grocery promotions, retail calendars, and the retail media landscape to work in every conversation
  • Working with our product and data teams to get new partners live
  • Owning your pipeline honestly and knowing your numbers cold
  • Showing up at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings, roughly 25-35% travel
  • Feeding real intelligence back to the team on category trends, competitive moves, and what brands keep asking for

Who we think this fits

You are a hunter. You go after relationships relentlessly and you do not let a good lead go cold. You bring energy to every call, every follow-up, and every room you walk into. You love food, you love sales, and you love the grind of networking your way into conversations other people cannot get. Obstacles do not slow you down; they fire you up. You want to put points on the board every single day, and you keep score.

You do not need a decade of experience. We are happy to train the right person on our platform, our data, and our sales motion. What we cannot train is the drive, the instinct for this category, and the willingness to hear no repeatedly and keep dialing.

What we are actually looking for

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in grocery, food, or beverage CPG, from any side of the business
  • A working understanding of retail media, trade promotion, or shopper marketing
  • Comfort starting conversations. Cold outreach does not scare you and follow-up is second nature
  • Sharp written and verbal communication. You can pitch, and you will
  • Comfort with ambiguity and no patience for waiting on someone to hand you a process
  • Willingness to travel 25-35%
  • Authorized to work in the US full-time

Nice to have

  • An existing network with emerging or mid-size food and beverage brands
  • Familiarity with players like Ibotta or Fetch, or with retailer media networks like Kroger Precision Marketing, Walmart Connect, or Albertsons Media Collective

What we offer

Salary: $55-65k depending on experience and location.

Fully remote, work from anywhere in the US.

Medical, dental, and vision. 401(k). Profit share and equity. Unlimited PTO that we actually expect you to use.

And the thing you cannot get at a bigger company: you get to help launch a category, not maintain one. When this works, it works because of decisions you made.

A note on our team

We are small, we move fast, and everyone here does more than their title suggests. We care about getting the details right and we own our outcomes. If that reads as draining rather than exciting, we are probably not the right fit. If it reads like the job you have been waiting for, we would like to hear from you.
