Our client is a growth-oriented specialty pharmaceutical company focused on bringing innovative hospital-based antibiotics to the market, with a first product launch in 2027. Job Description

  • Drive sales performance, market penetration, and territory growth within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to maximize commercial success.
  • Educate healthcare professionals using approved clinical and promotional materials.
  • Build strong relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, microbiologists, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to increase product utilization across hospital and health system accounts.
  • Effectively communicate product value while addressing customer questions and objections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support access, reimbursement, educational, and customer needs.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to optimize territory performance.
  • Gather and share market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the organization at relevant professional meetings, conferences, and industry events.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Key Account Manager – Central should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university required.
  • Pharma/biotech Sales experience (7+ years preferred), with current or recent experience in Antibiotic/Infectious Diseases.
  • Product launch experience, preferably at start-ups or small to mid-size companies, is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful performance and regional or national awards – must have documentation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to form strong, trusting partnerships to drive performance.
  • Adeptness in both verbal & written communication, applying advanced presentation skills for the delivery of corporate approved materials and the ability to proactively identify customer’s style / behaving and quickly adapt selling approach.
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools to identify trends, opportunities, and threats and develop refined territory/region business plans.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities, offering innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities to address challenges.
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitor; recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships and operate effectively in a matrix environment; expert collaboration with cross-functional partners, including marketing, training, operations, advocacy, medical, etc.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory environment; operates compliantly at all times.
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Up to 60% (dependent on geography) travel expectation – overnight travel may be required within territory and will be required for meetings/training.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 USD, with additional on-target commission earnings of approximately $50,000-$60,000 annually.
  • Car allowance or company car.
