Role Overview

Provides assistance and support to a Teacher in planning and implementing classroom instruction to meet the educational needs of an assigned student. Encourages and supports the student to contribute to the best possible educational experience.

What You Will Do

Assist the Teacher in planning curriculum, assessing student abilities, developing and implementing lesson plans, and maintaining a classroom environment. Observe and track student behavior, gather data, and create illustrations to identify and monitor student proficiency and performance levels.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of direct support experience, and/or a Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Minimum of Three (3) years of direct support experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
