Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager within Growth Sectors, you’ll play a key role in bringing BNZ’s Growth Sectors strategy to life. Combining strategic thinking, commercial acumen and strong relationship management, you’ll identify and progress opportunities that create meaningful value for BNZ and our customers.

What You Will Do

Build trusted relationships with key external partners, industry leaders and stakeholders to strengthen BNZ’s presence across our Growth Sectors. Support the delivery of sector strategies and multiple project streams, coordinating closely with Growth Sectors’ Heads of roles and other internal and external stakeholders.

Curious, commercially minded and comfortable navigating complexity, you’ll bring: at least three years’ experience within the finance or business community, with proven relationship management and business development capability.

Requirements

  • At least three years’ experience within the finance or business community, with proven relationship management and business development capability.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of financial services, credit analysis and the drivers of business success.
  • Confidence presenting plans, recommendations and outcomes to senior leaders and large groups.
  • A collaborative, motivated and proactive approach, as well as the ability to bring together information from multiple sources and turn it into clear, practical insights.
  • A passion for helping New Zealand businesses grow and the ability to work effectively across cultures.
  • Experience working across large organisations and with external agencies or suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.
