We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer/Architect to join our team and support work to pilot the Common Carbon Credit Data Model with carbon market participants and policymakers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject, preferred in information sciences, computer sciences or related discipline
- At least 3 years of professional experience with demonstrable expertise in data engineering/architecting data models and implementing/productionising them
- Familiarity with carbon credit markets or willingness to get up to speed quickly
- Strong analytic skills in data/software engineering, including experience with taxonomy and ontology development, proficiency in Excel and coding languages such as SQL or Python
- Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling tools
- Experience working with APIs and other applications to exchange data
- Understanding of data management discipline, including overarching data model maintenance and governance processes
- Experience working across multiple teams or projects and delivering to tight deadlines
- Collaborative approach and exceptional relationship building and communication skills
