Role Overview
Serve as the primary liaison between the Youth Leadership team and the Marketing team to ensure that peer-led insights and community trends inform all digital and local marketing strategies. Lead the development of social media and marketing campaigns that authentically amplify youth voices from the After-School Peer Leadership and Summer Enrichment programs.
What You Will Do
Oversee the production and strategic promotion of the Real Love Real Talk podcast, ensure content is co-created with youth and reaches target demographics across Boston. Design and implement ‘feedback-to-impact’ systems, using data from community engagement projects and workshops to refine Start Strong’s digital footprint and messaging.

Build and maintain partnerships with local schools and community organizations, focusing on how these collaborations can increase the visibility and measurable impact of the Start Strong Initiative. Provide direct supervision to coordinators, interns, and peer leaders specifically assigned to creative, media literacy, and digital outreach projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in marketing
- Positive Youth Development experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing marketing campaigns or digital communications within a public health or non-profit setting
- Proven track record of working with urban youth populations, specifically within the Boston area, and a deep understanding of the impact of structural racism on health equity
- Strong technical proficiency in digital tools (Wix/WordPress, social media analytics) and creative production (podcasting, video shorts, or graphic design)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex programmatic data into compelling ‘impact stories’ for public consumption
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful partnerships across different sectors (e.g., schools, healthcare, and community-based organizations)
- Ability to balance independent project management with highly collaborative team-based work
