Experienced Data Scientist

Role Overview

Join Euroclear’s Group Digital Capabilities division as a Data Scientist to support the needs for advanced analytics and reporting from all entities of the Euroclear Group. The role involves operating and leading the evolution of the Data & Analytics Platform, providing project support and expertise to various business lines, and helping to build an Azure Cloud Data Platform.

What You Will Do

As a Data Scientist, you will transform data into insights using techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing, and mathematical optimization. You will work with various tools and technologies, including Python, Scala, Spark, SQL, ETL, Power BI, and the Hadoop ecosystem.

Requirements

• Demonstrable record of successful hands-on experiences in sophisticated analytics
• Proficient in Python
• Knowledge of Scala and/or Spark is a plus
• Proficient in relational database querying (SQL) or in data collection and transformation (ETL)
• Master analytical techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing, mathematical optimization, large language models
• At ease with visualization tools like Power BI
• Experienced with command line tools (UNIX) and version control tools like GIT
• Know the Hadoop ecosystem (knowledge of the Cloudera distribution of Hadoop will be a plus)
• Has work experience with at least one Cloud Provider, preferably Azure Cloud
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good customer relationship skills
• Experience implementing advanced analytics solutions into a well-controlled production environment
• Able to learn quickly, adjust to changes and think creatively
• Self-motivated and confident with a positive demeanor
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with attention to details
• Past experience in agile development methodologies
