Senior Data Engineer, Python – (Logistics, Data & ML)

As the world’s pioneering local delivery platform, Delivery Hero is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Logistics Data & Machine Learning Platform team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and scale robust data systems that fuel real-time decision-making and innovation across logistics.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or backend/data platform roles
• Strong hands-on experience with streaming systems (especially Apache Kafka and Confluent) and CDC tools like Debezium
• Extensive experience with GCP (BigQuery) and modern data stacks (e.g., Spark, Flink) to manage complex, distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala with experience supporting data scientists and operationalizing ML pipelines and MLOps workflows
• A strong understanding of real-time data processing and a commitment to high standards for data quality, observability, and reliability
• A positive, high-energy attitude with a desire to work in a close-knit, collaborative team
