Role Overview
Support the Marketing Director in developing and managing distributors and importers across Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Travel within Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East as required for customer visits, distributor management, market development, trade exhibitions, and business meetings.
What You Will Do
Handle export documentation, contract administration, order tracking, shipping coordination, and end-to-end order fulfillment processes. Assist with marketing activities, trade exhibitions, customer visits, market intelligence gathering, and competitor analysis.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Experience in the halal food industry is preferred. Up to 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or international trade within the food, seasoning, or food ingredients industry. Experience in Southeast Asian and/or Middle Eastern markets is an advantage.
Requirements
- Experience in the halal food industry
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Marketing, Business Administration, Food Science, or related fields
- Up to 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or international trade within the food, seasoning, or food ingredients industry
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with good working proficiency in Malay
- Mandarin language skills are preferred
- Familiar with export sales administration, order management, shipping documentation, and international trade processes
- Detail-oriented, responsible, execution-focused, and willing to travel frequently for business purposes
- Supportive of halal-compliant business practices, able to work effectively within a team structure, and committed to long-term career development in international food export markets
