Financial Analyst

Role Overview

As a Financial Analyst at Mattamy Homes, you will provide support to the Corporate Controller with financial planning and analysis, perform analysis on financial results, and assist with financial reporting. You will work in a team environment and be responsible for maintaining house price worksheets and other pricing tools. You will also prepare and analyze schedules and compile supporting documents for audits.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing the Annual Budget and quarterly forecasts, performing analysis on monthly financial results, and assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages. You will also review and analyze land development budgets, perform margin and cost analysis, and prepare ad hoc reports.

Requirements

• University or college degree in accounting, finance or business administration
• Accounting and/or business designation (CPA/MBA) a plus
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a financial reporting role
• Home building and/or land development experience required
• Experience with accounting software packages and ability to quickly learn new software packages
• Experience with JD Edwards a definite plus
• Experience with OneStream a plus
• Advanced Excel skills including regular use of functions, pivot tables and macros
