Senior Data Scientist

Mercor is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to guide research and engineering teams in AI and data science domains. The role involves designing challenging data science tasks, evaluating AI agent outputs, and developing evaluation frameworks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional or research experience in data science, machine learning, data engineering, AI systems, or software engineering
• Demonstrated technical expertise in at least one of: statistical modeling, ML modeling, data analysis, programming, LLMs, or agentic workflows
• Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during weekdays for the duration of the engagement
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain analytical and technical decisions clearly
