Senior Engineer – Data Engineer

Join RTX as a Senior Engineer – Data Engineer and contribute to the Digital Engine Services team’s mission to improve aircraft reliability while reducing operating costs. Develop scalable data pipelines and workflows, work with relational databases and big data technologies, and lead digital transformation initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 -8 years of experience in cloud environment, with a strong emphasis on AWS services for code development, testing, and deployement in cloud environments (Lambda, Step Functions, Glue Jobs, Codebuild, S3, Cloudwatch).
• Strong programming skills in Python using Dataframes, Jupyter Notebook.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
• Experince of data engineering tools and platforms such as Databricks, Airflow, or similar ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Proficient in SQL and experience working with relational databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and coding skills in C++/C# using IDE (Visual Studio).
• Skilled in data visualization using tools like Power BI, Matplotlib, and HighCharts.
• Understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis.
• Strong communication skills with ability to learn AI/ML concepts and implement.
