Role Overview

The Inside Sales Representative will be a key member of the sales team, promoting and selling Retail and/or Foodservice fresh pork products into a defined region of responsibility in the United States. They will work closely with the Inside Sales Manager and Field Regional Sales Manager to identify potential growth areas, develop new accounts, and stay abreast of the meat protein markets.

What You Will Do

The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling and promoting the company’s products to existing customers and targeted prospects, identifying potential growth areas, and developing new accounts within designated territory. They will also work with the Inside Sales Manager, Field Regional Manager, and VP Inside Sales Performance & Alternative Channels to develop and execute a plan to achieve sales goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales and account management, preferably in the meat/fresh protein industry
  • Ability to read and interpret price lists, availability reports, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers and employees
  • Professional telephone skills
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentage, area, and volume
  • Excellent listening, negotiating, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Basic knowledge of packing plant operations and pork product specifications
  • Assertive personality with ethics and integrity
  • Highly organized and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English (Preferred)
