Senior Databricks Data Analyst

Role Overview

As a Senior Databricks Data Analyst, you will work at every layer between the data and the decision, interpreting data and presenting clear, prioritized recommendations to marketing and data stakeholders. You will drive recommendations through to action, build the case, align stakeholders, and stay with the work until it is implemented and measured.

What You Will Do

Query and analyze client data in Databricks using SQL (and Python where needed) across silver and gold layers to answer business questions quickly and accurately. Make the basic data connections you need to get to the work: connect sources and set up simple ingestion, and partner with data engineers on more complex pipeline builds.

Requirements

• Strong, hands-on SQL
• Working experience in Databricks (strongly preferred) or a comparable cloud data platform such as Snowflake or BigQuery—experience with SQL warehouses, Unity Catalog, and notebooks or equivalent.
• Enough data engineering knowledge to be self-sufficient: comfortable connecting data sources, setting up basic ingestion, and working with bronze, silver, and gold data layers, without needing to be a data engineer.
• Experience building dashboards and reporting in Databricks AI/BI, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Experienced with analytics data design patterns such as star schema.
• Independently interprets data in the context of the client’s business, makes recommendations without guidance, and drives them to completion.
• Exceptional communicator who can explain technical findings to marketers and executives, and business priorities to technical teams.
• Python (PySpark or pandas) is a plus.
• Marketing analytics experience with CRM, lifecycle, or customer data is a strong plus.
