Role Overview

The Business Development Representative is responsible for expanding the facility’s lines of service by developing and retaining referrals from hospitals, physicians, and other professional referral sources. The role involves representing the facility to the public, hosting visitors, and employing creative approaches to grow reputation among professional referrals.

What You Will Do

Develop business development programs, maintain primary sources, document contacts, and prepare business development reports. Develop new account relationships, target new strategies, and increase referral sources. Represent the facility at civic and professional functions, communicate the mission, and act as a liaison between the facility, referral sources, and the general public.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years’ related experience in healthcare business development and marketing role in behavioral health or substance use
  • Good understanding of the local market and referral base
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatments
  • Organized and demonstrate the ability to multitask and have well-developed and effective relational skills
