M&A Business Development Market Manager

Role Overview

The M&A Business Development Market Manager is a vital position within the group that works collaboratively across functions to identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities. This role is home based but needs to be located within a reasonable distance from a major metropolitan airport. The Business Development role at SunSource is key to driving profitable growth for the organization through the development and execution of SunSource’s acquisition strategy.

What You Will Do

Develop a deep understanding of industrial Fluid Power, Fluid Conveyance, Automation and Fluid Process distribution; manage the entire transaction process including relationship development, deal negotiation and the coordination and management of acquisition due diligence and integration activities.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Strong financial acumen, ability to develop financial valuation models, and experience in identifying target companies and initiating buy/sell process in Mergers and Acquisitions are required. Ability to travel minimum of 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, and/or sales
  • 3+ years of buy-side experience in identifying target companies and initiating buy/sell process in Mergers and Acquisitions
  • 10+ years of experience within the Industrial, Fluid Power, Automation distribution business
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, PPT and related
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
