Role Overview

The Field Sales Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities, grow existing customers, and develop proactive solutions for target and existing customers. They will also provide performance metrics, understand pricing and cost components, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

The main day-to-day responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, growing existing customers, developing proactive solutions, and providing performance metrics. The Field Sales Business Development Manager will also understand pricing and cost components, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Identify new business opportunities for assigned territories / target market segments and ideal target customers
  • Growth of existing assigned customers through cross selling new services
  • Identify market trends and competitive rate actions and communicates those trends to the product and management teams
  • Exercises proactive solution development for target and existing customers
  • Builds a solid understanding of target customers/assigned account base
  • Assists and drives response strategy in the preparation of RFQ’s and bids
  • Identifies the competitive landscape and makes recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provides weekly and monthly performance metrics to the sales administrator
  • Understands pricing and cost components associated with proposed solutions
  • Meets specific volume and revenue requirements for each product in the Toll portfolio as designated by the SVP, Sales
  • Manages time and sales territory to be able to reach the desired amount of sales calls (10) on a weekly basis
  • Ensures effective and timely responses to all sales leads/key correspondence within identified timelines
  • Manages expenses and other company assets in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Complies with all Toll policies and guidelines
