Sr. Data Scientist / IT SME Specialist

VSolvit is looking for a broadly talented Data Scientist to take an active role on their data analytics team. The successful candidate will work on vast amounts of DEA data to discover hidden information by applying modern statistical and ML/AI techniques.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Secret Clearance Required
• Must be able to pass a DEA Security Approval
• Team experience
• At least 2 years of data science and custom Machine Learning and AI model training experience
• 5+ years’ of professional experience in data science and analysis
• 5+ years’ Python, ‘R’ or other scripting languages
• 2+ years’ database experience
• ML practice – using scikit learn, tensorflow, or pytorch and perform DEA (Data exploration Analysis), clean data, model selection, feature selection/tuning, and deployment
• 2+ years’ experience with data visualization tools
• Professional experience in implementing and deploying Deep Learning models to solve complex problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as a team player to integrate data science solutions into our products and services.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and team members.
• Utilize Git for version control, ensuring effective collaboration and code management within the team.
• Embrace Agile methodologies to adapt to fast-paced development cycles and deliver high-quality results.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
