The role

CloudBees CloudBees is standing up its APAC marketing function from zero — and this hire owns it. You’ll be the first dedicated marketer in the region: the person who builds demand generation, partner-channel programs, and field marketing infrastructure, while keeping the programs already in motion from falling over. This isn’t a seat inside an existing team. You’ll be the pioneer in the region.

You’d report directly to the global demand generation leader, with the APAC regional VP (based in Singapore) and the regional sales team as your closest day-to-day partners.

What you’ll own

Localize and activate global campaigns

Take CloudBees’ existing global campaign architecture and bring it to market in APAC — adapting it where the region’s partner-led motion and named-account style demand something different from what works in the US or EMEA.

Build partner-channel infrastructure from scratch

Stand up the program infrastructure needed to support partner-driven demand across the region. This doesn’t exist today. You’re not optimizing a channel program — you’re building the first one.

Keep in-flight work moving

Own the webinars, events, and partner activations already underway the moment you land. Nothing pauses while you build the foundation underneath it.

Balance field marketing and ABM

CloudBees runs a targeted, named-account go-to-market — not broad-reach, spray-and-pray marketing. You’ll own both field marketing and account-based marketing in genuine balance, not lead with one and treat the other as an afterthought.

Translate technical complexity into compelling programs

CloudBees sells into complex B2B enterprise and engineering buyers. You don’t need deep DevOps expertise, but you do need a real, working curiosity about the technical world your buyers live in — enough to turn complexity into marketing programs people actually respond to.

Report on pipeline, not just activity

Own your numbers. This is a revenue marketing seat first — attribution, conversion, and pipeline contribution are how your work gets evaluated, not campaign volume or brand awareness metrics.

What we’re looking for

• Growth-stage B2B SaaS background.
• Proven track record as a first or sole marketer. You’ve built demand generation, field marketing, or partner programs in a region or function before, without a team around you to lean on.
• Fluency in pipeline, conversion, and attribution — unprompted. This should be how you naturally talk about your work.
• Both field marketing and ABM experience.
• Genuine technical curiosity.
• Comfort operating with zero local team. You are the APAC marketing function.
• Willingness to work APAC-core hours with genuine US overlap. This is a firm requirement, not a scheduling preference — CloudBees’ marketing organization is primarily US-based, and real-time collaboration matters.
• Ability to travel roughly once a month.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Marketo, Clay, Gong, Salesforce, or Tableau.
• Mandarin or another APAC language, given the region’s key markets.
• Prior experience joining a team or function mid-rebuild.

Experience level

There’s no hard tenure requirement. What matters more is evidence: have you actually done this — built something from zero, run it solo, delivered results — regardless of how many years it took you to get there. In practice, the scope of this role tends to suit people with meaningful seniority, but a compelling track record matters more than a number on a resume.

Location and structure

Based in Singapore, with Australia considered for the right candidate given some flexibility on geography. This engagement starts as a contract through Chapter 2, so the region gets moving now rather than waiting on a permanent hiring process — with an explicit, pre-agreed path to full-time conversion tied to your performance and the company’s trajectory. This is a founding-marketer opportunity.

Language

CloudBees operates in English across its ecosystem — there’s no localized-language campaign work required. That said, Mandarin or familiarity with other APAC languages is a real asset given the region’s key markets: China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, and Japan.
