Job Purpose

Nanofilm is accelerating its manufacturing footprint and advanced material solutions within the Indian market. As global consumer electronics supply chains undergo strategic relocation and integration, this role is critical to anchoring our commercial presence in the region.

The Business Development Senior Manager will independently lead commercial discussions for Nanofilm’s India business. This leader will serve as the crucial bridge connecting our localized India operations, our primary US-based end customers, and our established Nanofilm Shanghai operations. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape a strategic geographic expansion, drive complex cross-border negotiations, and build robust partnerships with India-based manufacturing clients.

Responsibilities

(1) Commercial Leadership & Negotiation

  • Independently lead high-stakes commercial discussions and contract negotiations with India-based manufacturing clients (FATP, CM, EMS, and ODM players).
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing marketing materials, localized pitch decks, and competitive differentiation strategies tailored to the Indian supply chain ecosystem.
  • Obtain internal commercial approval for pricing floors and target margins before customer engagement, ensuring alignment with global standards.

(2) Cross-Border Account Management

  • Act as the primary commercial bridge between Nanofilm India operations, US-based consumer electronics end customers, India-based metal vendors, and Nanofilm Shanghai.
  • Facilitate seamless communication regarding manufacturing capacity, site relocation progress, and supply chain integration milestones with Nanofilm‚Äôs key customers
  • Work closely with the process engineering and operations teams to align India site capabilities with the stringent qualification requirements of US end customers.

(3) Target Customer Definition & Lead Generation

  • Build and maintain a named target customer matrix mapping our coating and manufacturing solutions to specific regional accounts.
  • Directly engage potential customers where appropriate‚Äîpresenting solutions, gathering technical requirements, and assessing qualification readiness.
  • Qualify leads using a structured framework and prioritize actionable opportunities for the technical and operational teams via inhouse CRM.

(4) Pipeline Management & Business Development Support

  • Maintain a live opportunity pipeline with stage, estimated volume, revenue, probability, and next actions; report to AMC leadership bi-weekly.
  • With support from Project Manager, lead proposal preparation, customer Q&A, and qualification planning for active leads.
  • Build a bottom-up cost model and commercial framework tailored to local India market dynamics, labor costs, and utility structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree with deep expertise within the consumer electronics supply chain, with proven experience managing India-based manufacturing clients (CM/EMS/ODM).
  • Commercial Skills – Proven ability to independently lead contract negotiations, build pricing models, and present to B2B customers. Strong track record in solution selling and cross-border BD activities.
  • Collaboration Exceptional ability to bridge distinct corporate cultures and operational styles (US tech brands, Indian manufacturing hubs, Chinese operations). Track record of driving cross-functional deliverables.
  • Technical Background – Understanding of advanced manufacturing processes, surface solutions, or consumer electronics assembly. Able to read and interpret technical specs and qualification reports.
  • Travel – Regular travel to customer sites in India. Willingness to travel internationally to Singapore/ Shanghai for strategic alignment.
  • Structured, self-driven, and able to operate with incomplete information.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset suited to a new business launch environment.
  • Comfortable working on-site (Monday ‚Äì Friday)
