Role Description The Senior Financial Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Newport, NC. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing and interpreting financial statements, and developing reporting that supports management decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst will create financial forecasts and budgets, perform variance and trend analysis, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Daily tasks include collaborating with bookkeeping and accounting staff, ensuring data accuracy, preparing reports and dashboards, and presenting findings and recommendations to leadership. The role may also support process improvement initiatives, assist with internal controls, and contribute to strategic financial planning for client organizations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Finance, Financial Planning, and Financial Reporting skills.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and related analysis.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data and identifying trends.
  • Relevant experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a business or public accounting environment.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet tools and financial software; experience with accounting systems is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and effective communication skills for working with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in Newport, NC and collaborate in a team-focused environment.
