VP, H&W Marketing Operations Enablement –

Role Summary/Purpose: The VP, Marketing Operations Enablement will own Health & Wellness Marketing’s operating system by designing, standardizing, and continuously improving how work enters, flows through, and is governed across the department. Reporting to the SVP, H&W Marketing Operations, the leader is responsible for enabling consistent delivery through clear intake and prioritization, scalable processes, capacity planning, and adoption of new ways of working.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the department operating system by establishing standards, governance, and continuous improvement for intake, prioritization, planning, and execution visibility, in partnership with Marketing Leaderships.
  • Design and implement the operating model including decision rights, operating cadences, and documentation to reduce duplication and improve clarity.
  • Lead change management for new ways of working, including stakeholder socialization, training, and adoption to ensure sustained usage of new processes.
  • Establish and run the intake and prioritization engine, including intake guidelines, request completeness standards, and prioritization criteria.
  • Drive standardization of operational artifacts (e.g., standard briefs, operating materials, templates) to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
  • Enable campaign visualization and optimization by developing and maintaining a calendar of in‑flight work and future plans.
  • Lead process mapping and documentation across campaign and operational workflows; identify friction points and implement improvements through simplification, automation, and clearer handoffs.
  • Leverage existing MarTech and AI solutions to recommend improvements that streamline intake and workflow, accelerate reporting and insights, reduce manual effort, and enable scalable operating practices.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school/GED and 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, enablement, transformation/PMO, or related roles in a complex, cross‑functional environment.
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams and developing talent.
  • Demonstrated success designing and scaling operating models (intake, prioritization, governance, templates, capacity planning, process documentation) that measurably improve delivery performance.
  • Strong analytical and operational skillset with experience building capacity models, performance reporting, and leveraging data to drive prioritization and operational decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead change management and drive adoption of new ways of working across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working with partners and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, and improve operational outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities; process oriented with the ability to perform due diligence, strategize new approaches, and lead implementation.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing workflow and work‑management platforms (e.g., Workfront) and translating process requirements into tooling, automation, and governance.
  • Experience recommending and implementing tactical, MarTech and AI‑enabled capabilities to improve efficiency, consistency, and speed‑to‑market.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries is a plus.

Salary Range

Salary range for this position is 110,000.00 – 185,000.00 USD annually and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

We’re proud to offer you flexibility. At Synchrony, our way of working allows you to have the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in‑person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training, and culture events.

  • Field Sales and some Commercial team roles may have varied location requirements based upon partner obligations or preferences.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non‑exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
