Data Analyst (6-month contract)

Role Overview

As a Data Analyst, you’ll support the business by providing accurate data, insightful reports and clear analysis. You’ll work on a variety of analytical tasks, from writing SQL queries to building dashboards and responding to data requests from stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Data Analysis & Querying: Extract, clean and analyse data from various sources, using SQL to answer defined business questions. Reporting & Dashboarding: Build and maintain operational dashboards and reports using our BI tools. Data Integrity & Team Support: Assist in the validation and testing of data to ensure its accuracy and integrity before use in reporting.

We’re looking for a Data Analyst with a tertiary qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative or technical field, and 5+ years’ experience in Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar analytical role.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative or technical field
• 5+ years’ experience in Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar analytical role
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and extracting data
• Strong analytics capabilities, including hands-on experience working with large datasets with SQL and Python
• Experience using a data visualisation or BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI (including DAX)
• Strong Communication Skills to explain complex analysis through writing, visuals and presentations
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders
• Experience working with modern data and analytics platforms, including technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azura data services, or equivalent cloud-based analytics environments.
