Functional Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Functional Data Analyst with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in business analysis and business intelligence (BI). The person will play a key role between business and technology teams to clarify needs, define KPIs and performance indicators, document functional requirements, and validate data used in analytical solutions. The mandate is part of a digital transformation and modernization of decision-making platforms, where data supports performance management, compliance, and strategic asset management.

What You Will Do

Analyze, clarify, and document business needs related to data initiatives. Organize and lead discovery and clarification workshops with stakeholders. Define business objectives, KPIs, performance indicators, and success criteria. Write requirements and functional specifications. Create and maintain User Stories, acceptance criteria, and usage cases in Jira and Confluence.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in data analysis and needs in a BI context
• Experience in delivering BI mandates within a large-scale environment
• Excellent mastery of applied business analysis to data and BI cases
• Experience in clarifying needs and defining business objectives, KPIs, and performance indicators
• Good mastery of Jira and Confluence
• Good understanding of data governance and quality concepts
• Excellent mastery of SQL, particularly in a Databricks environment, for data exploration and validation
• Knowledge of Data/Cloud platforms, particularly Databricks and Azure
• Good mastery of Agile Scrum/Kanban practices
• Experience in prioritization, backlog management, and project planning
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), change management, training, and adoption
