Data Engineer 4

Role Overview

Capital One is seeking a Data Engineer 4 to join their team, who will be at the forefront of driving a major transformation across the company. The successful candidate will collaborate with Agile teams, design, develop, and test technical solutions, and influence a team of developers, data analysts, and data scientists.

What You Will Do

The Data Engineer 4 will utilize programming languages such as Python and Spark, work with open-source relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data warehousing platforms. They will also design and build data pipelines and platforms with a focus on scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of experience in application development
• At least 2 years of experience in distributed data
• At least 2 years of experience with SQL
• At least 2 years of experience with one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala)
• At least 1 year of experience in data modeling and designing end-to-end data solutions
