Data Engineer

Role Overview

The Data Engineer builds the pipelines and models that turn source system data into analytics customers act on, and builds the reporting layer that sits on top of them. The role spans ingestion and transformation through semantic modeling, Power BI report and dashboard development, and the performance and governance work that keeps the result trustworthy.

What You Will Do

Build and operate the pipelines behind the analytics, build ingestion and transformation pipelines from operational systems, APIs, and files, design analytics data models, implement data quality and reconciliation controls, orchestrate and monitor scheduled workloads, build the analytics and reporting layer, and work with the people who use the data.

The ideal candidate will have 8 years of professional data engineering or analytics engineering experience, demonstrated experience delivering an end-to-end analytics solution, significant Power BI experience, and experience working directly with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and metric definitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of professional data engineering or analytics engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience delivering an end-to-end analytics solution from source ingestion through production reporting
• Significant Power BI experience, including semantic model design, DAX, and performance tuning
• Demonstrated experience working directly with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and metric definitions
