GEODIS is seeking a VP Business Development to identify business opportunities, assess customer needs, and match these with the company’s services to acquire new logo customers. The role involves developing strategies to increase integrated and cross-selling opportunities, scanning the competitive landscape, and working with Business Units to evaluate attractiveness of verticals and develop penetration strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant business development experience
- Experience in the Supply Chain Industry
- PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to write proposals and RFP responses
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to negotiate profitable partner relationships with regional and national logistics clients
