Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Sales Operations Assistant Manager to drive operational excellence across sales planning, business operations, and carbon transaction support. This role will support the effective adoption of CRM systems and dashboards, strengthen governance and process discipline across carbon and REC transactions, and ensure accurate documentation, tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external registries. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving operational efficiency, data accuracy, and execution readiness for a growing business.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption and training of CRM systems and dashboards with internal business users, targeting sustained usage, improved data completeness, and actionable sales insights across the business, with measurable improvements in user adoption, reporting timeliness, and data quality
  • Support carbon transaction operations, including coordination of compliance and voluntary carbon credit trades, ensuring accurate documentation, complete transaction tracking, and timely alignment with internal governance processes to minimise processing errors and reduce rework
  • Oversee operational aspects of the carbon trade lifecycle where applicable, including deal capture validation, reconciliation checkpoints, and coordination with finance to support timely invoicing, settlement, and issue resolution within agreed turnaround times
  • Manage interactions with external carbon registries such as Verra, Gold Standard, and relevant compliance registries for account administration, credit transfers, and retirements, ensuring registry activities are completed accurately, on time, and in line with internal controls and audit requirements
  • Maintain oversight of carbon inventory positions within registries and internal systems, ensuring timely updates, high data accuracy, and audit-ready records for reporting purposes, with clear reconciliation discipline and minimal data discrepancies
  • Partner with the commercial team to improve execution readiness for carbon and REC transactions, including process standardisation, documentation alignment, and reduction of operational handoff gaps to improve deal execution speed and consistency
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on sales and business operational processes and be a resource for internal departments to execute with rigor and excellence, supporting continuous improvement in process compliance, stakeholder responsiveness, and operational effectiveness

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 6-8 years of work experience
  • Experience with sales software and data analytics tools e.g. CRM, PowerBI required
  • Experience in the Renewable Energy Certificates or Carbon Management sectors would be an added advantage
  • Familiarity with carbon market infrastructure, including registries (e.g. Verra, Gold Standard) and basic understanding of voluntary and compliance carbon markets, would be advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across the organisation to achieve results, with exposure to senior leadership
  • Self-motivated team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
