Role Overview
The Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for mining and analysing data to bolster the risk analysis being conducted by the Compliance Unit and strengthen compliance and regulatory reporting.
What You Will Do
Using a variety of data mining and data analysis methods, the Data Analyst is responsible for building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations which will seek to improve periodic regulatory reporting.

The Data Analyst will use predictive modelling to discover solutions hidden in large data sets to improve and optimize compliance outcomes.
Requirements
- BSc. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or another quantitative field
- Experience using data analytics and visualization tools (Python, SLQ, Tableau, Power BI etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Experience creating and using algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modelling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
- Strong understanding of the use of information technology and the data modelling
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio and other analysis programs
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data
- Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
- Must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
