Communications and Marketing Manager

Role Overview

We’re looking for TWO seasoned communications and marketing professionals to join our ambitious and growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who is confident, diplomatic and enthusiastic, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels.

You’ll play a key role in shaping both our service and the future of the team. You’ll provide strategic communications and marketing advice to senior leaders and elected members, acting as a trusted partner and helping to translate organisational priorities into impactful communications and marketing strategies.

Requirements

• Significant experience in communications, marketing or public affairs, including developing and delivering strategic communications plans.
• A proven track record of leading, motivating and developing high-performing teams, including performance management.
• Experience providing strategic advice and support to senior leaders and stakeholders in a complex organisation.
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence to work closely with elected members, senior leaders and external partners.
• Strong judgement, political awareness and the ability to navigate sensitive and high-profile issues.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to shape new ways of working and contribute to the ongoing development of a growing service.
• Creativity, resilience and a focus on delivering excellent outcomes for customers and communities.
