Role Overview
The Manager, Ontario Poultry Sales is responsible for the overall management of the Poultry Sales team in Ontario. This position will also implement policy decisions as well as short and long term strategy decisions. This role will work in collaboration with many stakeholders to ensure the highest level of service is provided to Maple Leaf Foods customers.
What You Will Do
Proactively manage the sales team and ensure sales commitments for size, timing and quality through execution of the procurement plan to bring live poultry into the processing plants. Responsible for the management of the sales team towards driving day-old chick sales volume to meet annual sales budget.

Requirements
- Post-secondary education or University Degree in Agriculture, Business, Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2-5 years of management experience
- 5 Years experience in a Poultry Sales or related position
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including Microsoft Excel, WORD, PowerPoint knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skill sets
- Ability to drive continuous improvement
- Proven decision-making ability using various analytical tools (SWOT analysis, Six Sigma metrics, etc.)
- Working knowledge of the Poultry Industry would be a definite asset.
- An ability to work independently and self-motivated
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to attend, participate and present at various Industry functions and activities, both outside and within the Company.
- High level of computer competency including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
