Business Development Director

Role Overview

The Director of Business Development will drive strategic growth and expand Matrix Service Company’s presence across the Gulf Coast industrial market. The role will focus on developing and securing opportunities within storage terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical facilities, industrial gas operations, and other process industry sectors.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will build and strengthen relationships with owner organizations, EPC contractors, and strategic industry partners while positioning Matrix as a preferred provider of industrial construction solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or strategic growth roles within industrial construction or related industries
• Demonstrated experience developing business within refining, petrochemical, chemical, terminal, industrial gas, or process industry sectors
• Strong understanding of industrial construction execution, including mechanical construction, piping, structural steel, equipment installation, maintenance, and turnaround services
• Proven ability to develop executive-level client relationships and influence strategic purchasing decisions
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the Gulf Coast region and other target markets as required
