Role Overview
The Content Marketing Coordinator is responsible for serving as Michigan Humane’s day-to-day news liaison, appearing on the organization’s weekly adoption-focused television segments. The role involves tracking animal stories across the organization in support of the organization’s mission, marketing, communication, and fundraising goals.
What You Will Do
Serve as weekly day-to-day news liaison on Fox 2, WDIV, WXYZ, and CBS Detroit live and pre-taped television and special-event segments, selecting and preparing animals for news appearances. Coordinate news appearances calendar and create weekly educational talking points.

Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in marketing or communications role
- Familiarity with animal welfare organizations
- Animal handling skills, focused primarily on dogs and cats
- Public speaking and ability to interview others
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Strong skills in writing, copyediting and proofreading
