The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is seeking a Financial Analyst to manage financial operations, track and monitor approvals and funding for complex IT projects, and work with Cost Allocation to ensure ongoing operations and quarterly deadlines are met. The position involves building complex financial models, databases, and Excel templates, and requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting and five years of progressively responsible experience in financial or technical analysis.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of financial theory and principles of business management operations and practices.
  • Ability to build complex financial models, databases, and Excel templates.
  • Advanced skill in Excel with strong fluency in formulas and functions (e.g. Pivot Tables, Vlookup, charts, tables, and/or other related software packages).
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in financial or technical analysis.
  • Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered.
