Role Overview
The Economist is seeking a highly analytical Performance Marketing Manager with strong expertise in paid social, paid search, and organic social. The ideal candidate will plan, build, launch, and optimise in-house customer-acquisition campaigns across key biddable media platforms.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include planning, building, launching, and optimising paid search and paid social campaigns, managing day-to-day campaign execution, and partnering with creative, analytics, product, editorial, and marketing teams to deliver subscription growth.

Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in performance marketing
- significant hands-on responsibility for paid social and paid search
- experience working at a leading media/performance agency or an established consumer brand
- proven experience planning, launching, and optimising customer-acquisition campaigns
- strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
- experience managing substantial media budgets and delivering against CPA, ROAS, revenue, or subscription-growth targets
- familiarity with web analytics, attribution, and reporting tools
- experience in working with owned social channels and reporting tools
