Financial Analyst – CBS

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will support the CBS News, Stations, and CBS Media Venture(CMV) Digital division and report to the Director, FP&A. The Analyst will assist in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of forecasts and budgets, tracking performance, managing monthly operating expenses, and using analysis to drive informed decision-making.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Budgeting/Forecasting, Work with Accounting in preparation for monthly close, Manage month-end accruals, contracts, and invoices, Expense management, risk analysis, and mitigation, Actively monitor expense levers and cost controls required to maintain profitability and achieve budgeted profit targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of work experience in finance, accounting, or similar quantitative role; media, entertainment, and/or technology experience a plus
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace suite skills, particularly Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
• A willingness and quick ability to learn new software
• Advanced knowledge in Oracle Financials a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills – be able to handle and synthesize large datasets to deliver critical insights in an easy-to-digest format for management and external partners
• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment
