Financial Master Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Financial Master Data Analyst will create and maintain financial master data in necessary systems and in accordance with company policies, procedures, master data processes, and master data governance model. The Analyst will also support maintaining policy-aligned approval tables within systems needing to consume such data.

What You Will Do

Create and maintain financial master data, support collection of master data, ensure financial master data is evaluated and created in such a way that processes will function efficiently, effectively and in accordance with company policy.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of systems and requirements relating to master data processing, chart of accounts and maintenance, and Hyperion or other financial reporting tools and their master data maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of systems and requirements relating to master data processing – forms, approvals, and policy.
• Knowledge of chart of accounts and maintenance – account types, normal balances, where and how used.
• Knowledge of Hyperion or other financial reporting tools and their master data maintenance activities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite — particularly Excel and Outlook — and related tools.
• Awareness of internal controls and mitigations (SOX Compliance).
• Awareness of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP).
• Experience in the following business areas preferred: Finance, Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis.
