Overview
Genesis Partners, has been retained exclusively in identifying a dynamic Managing Director to lead a an award-winning international Corporate & Public Affairs and Strategic Communications firm across APAC. The firm has offices across Singapore, Europe & the US. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in public affairs, corporate reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications. The Managing Director will be responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, and positioning the firm as a trusted advisor to corporations, governments, and organisations navigating complex reputational and policy challenges across Asia Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership-Define and execute the firm’s vision, growth strategy, and market positioning.
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of consultants, strategists, and communications professionals.
- Ensure delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions for clients.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, government officials, media, and key stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on corporate reputation, public affairs, crisis management, and strategic communications.
- Oversee development of tailored strategies that align with client objectives and broader societal trends.
- Business Development-Identify new opportunities for growth across corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors.
- Drive revenue growth through client acquisition, retention, and expansion.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and thought leadership platforms.
- Operational Excellence- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, ethical practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- Proven track record (10-15 + years) in corporate affairs, public affairs, or strategic communications leadership within a consulting setting.
- Strong network across corporate, government, and media landscapes.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and deliver results under pressure.
- Advanced degree in communications, public policy, business, or related field preferred.
- Visionary thinker with the ability to anticipate trends and shape narratives.
- Highly credible, with gravitas to engage at boardroom and government levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
