Senior Trade Finance Operations Leader – VP / Director

We are partnering with a leading financial institution to appoint a senior Trade Finance Operations leader as part of leadership development agenda within the function.
Responsibilities
This is a key senior role designed to support the current leadership team and step into broader responsibility over time, as part of the organisation’s longer-term talent and continuity planning.The role will oversee end-to-end Trade Finance Operations, including letters of credit, guarantees, documentary collections, and supply chain finance. It will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, strengthening process efficiency, and supporting ongoing transformation initiatives across automation, digitalisation, and workflow optimisation.
A strong emphasis will also be placed on risk governance, regulatory compliance (including MAS requirements), and ensuring a robust control environment. The individual will work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Business, Risk, Compliance, and Technology, and will be expected to contribute to strategic initiatives and digital enablement efforts within the function.
Requirements
This is a senior role suited to an experienced trade finance operations professional with deep domain expertise and a track record of leading change or transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capability, sound risk and control awareness, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed environment. Approximately 15+ years of relevant experience is expected.
