Financial Analyst

Our client, an established investment firm, is looking for a sharp, driven Financial Analyst to support reporting, analysis, and modeling across its funds and investments. The Analyst will produce internal reports and analyses, maintain the firm’s performance database, help prepare and submit regulatory filings, build standard reports for current and prospective investors, and develop and maintain financial models. The role also supports the coordination, compilation, and review of monthly and quarterly fund valuations, and contributes to a firm-wide initiative to upgrade systems and reporting, including new system implementations.

The ideal candidate is organized and level-headed, able to juggle multiple competing priorities and manage several technical projects while handling ongoing time-sensitive requests.

• Own the monthly and quarterly reporting process for portfolio companies, working hand in hand with deal teams to improve it over time
• Model out projected results for current funds and new strategies over both near-term and multi-year horizons
• Handle the firm’s recurring regulatory reporting obligations from preparation through submission
• Compare actual results against plan, explain the gaps, and suggest how to respond
• Track and analyze how each fund and investment is performing quarter to quarter
• Support firm leadership with analysis that informs key decisions
• Serve as a link between accounting, investor relations, and deal teams so that every report and filing goes out correct and on schedule
• Study past results, market conditions, and sector developments to uncover insights
• Play a hands-on role in the yearly budget cycle and ongoing planning efforts
• Turn financial findings into clear decks and reports for executives and investors
• Step in on one-off analyses and firm initiatives wherever help is needed
