Commercial Counsel, Deal Desk

Role Overview

Join the global Deal Desk within the Commercial Legal team at Adyen as a Commercial Counsel, responsible for negotiating customer-facing contract negotiations, drafting negotiation playbooks, and advising on contract interpretation.

What You Will Do

Provide strategic legal advice, draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, proactively problem solve for emerging legal and operational risks, and drive legal automation efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of legal experience, in house or at a law firm
  • strong commercial contracting and/or other transactional experience
  • collaboration with other legal counsels based in jurisdictions across the US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC
  • solid people skills and ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • ability to work autonomously and run things like your own business
  • curiosity, self-motivation, reliability, adaptability, and detail-orientation
  • experience educating others on complex ideas, communicating them clearly, and providing additional training when necessary
  • ability to structure and prioritize work in a high volume, fast-paced environment and build and drive processes to completion
